'Phone' blows up real cornily

Paige Wiser: Justin Timberlake throws his stylish porkpie hat into the producing game with "The Phone," an ambitious reality show that tries to combine "Fear Factor" with a spy plot. Four photogenic twentysomethings -- who earlier signed up to participate in "a game" -- wait for phone calls that will lead them to clues, and eventually, up to $50,000. In the first episode, the players try to track down a "mad bomber" who wears a conveniently distinctive red plaid hat.
