Big Boi's delayed solo debut is a winner

The folks at Jive Records decided not to release the dazzlingly varied and impressively consistent 'Sir Lucious Left Foot' when Antwan 'Big Boi' Patton of OutKast initially offered it in 2008, allegedly because it wasn't commercial enough. Yet as finally released by Def Jam, the music on this solo debut doesn't miss a step, even if the lyrics are a bit dated.
