We’ve learned not to guess what a “Manchester band” will sound like (poetic misery? mad fer it laddishness?), and Daily Life break all the stereotypes with summery lo-fi on their self-titled EP. Our current favourite ‘No Eyes’ embodies this perfectly, starting out with the staccato positivity of The Strange Boys before seguing into Pavement-recalling choruses, all whilst sounding like they’ve just crawled out of bed. A deliciously lethargic reminder that summer is finally on it...
