Dio's legacy lives on

In August 2008, Ronnie James Dio prowled the stage at the Erie County Fairgrounds like some diminutive Italian jungle cat, if one can imagine such a creature. Fronting Heaven & Hell -- Black Sabbath minus Ozzy Osbourne in everything but name -- the 66-year-old sang with epic force in a voice that moved from ominous growl to broad, vibrato-laden tenor with a grace and ease belying his age.
