The British band Doves took its sweet time making its newest album, "Kingdom of Rust," but the wait was worth it. It's a sprawling effort with epic guitar squall, big production washes and high-lonesome melodies that recall some other, marginally more famous acts from England, but Doves has a scruffiness that keeps proceedings edgy.
