Gorillaz head to Coachella with new album

Gorillaz [ tickets ] have landed a headlining slot at this year's Coachella [ tickets ] Music and Arts Festival, which is scheduled to take place April 16-18 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA. The animated band's appearance on the last night of the fest (4/18) will be the first Gorillaz "live spectacle" in the US since its April 2006 run at New York's Apollo Theater, according to a press release.
