Major Pet Peeve

I have a pet peeve so major it probably doesn't even warrant being called "pet." Have you ever tried to read the closed captioning for television shows? Not on weekly series but on news shows and daily talk shows and such, anything that's not scripted. It's horrible! Half the time it's practically unreadable. They screw up the most basic words, not to mention the more difficult ones like "education" or "political." And when it comes to proper nouns, forget about it! ...
