Singer-songwriter Kenny Rankin has died. He was 68.
Rankin passed away on Sunday, June 7 after being diagnosed with cancer three weeks ago, his daughter Jenna by his side.
The singer, who had a career in pop and jazz that spanned over 35 years and performed notable covers of such Beatles tunes as "Blackbird" and "Penny Lane," had been planning to record an album with Phil Ramone.
