In the 90s, the shoegazer genre left faster than it came. By the time most people discovered it, it was already gone. My Bloody Valentine and Ride broke up within years of forming. Lush went pop. And most fans of the genre were stuck discovering the other various bands through the used CD racks and cassettes of bootlegs from poorly sounding shows.
As with all good genres, they may burn out
