The Breeders swap bassists for summer run's final shows

Josephine Wiggs, founding member of The Breeders [ tickets ], returns to the line-up tonight (8/21) for the final three performances of the band's summer run as bassist Mando Lopez welcomes a new baby into the world. According to the band's publicist, lead singer/guitarist Kim Deal invited Wiggs, who performed with The Breeders from 1988 to 1994, to join the tour on Wednesday (8/19), after Lopez got word that his wife had gone into labor in Los Angeles.
