The Drums Sign to Downtown

Spastic pop band the Drums just released their self-titled debut LP in England via Island/Moshi Moshi, and now there's plans for a U.S. release via Downtown. (Both Island and Downtown are connected to Universal.) The album is available in the U.S. iTunes store now and, in a unique (and telling) move, the vinyl will come out on August 10-- about a month before the CD, which is due in September.
