One of Jamaica"s most storied bands, the Skatalites, helped define ska music in the early 1960s, both by backing the likes of Bob Marley"s Wailers and Desmond Dekker in the studio and by recording landmark instrumentals under their own name. After a long break, they resumed touring in 1983. Many of the key members have since passed on, but the current lineup still includes original members Lloyd Knibb on drums and Lester Sterling on horns.
