Ane Brun benefits from a late start

Ane Brun is a self-described late bloomer. She didn't even begin learning how to play guitar or sing in public until she was into her twenties. But she quickly made up for lost time: In the last decade, the Norwegian-born singer has released a half-dozen studio albums melding everything from folk to classical music on her own label in Sweden, and collaborated with artists such as Peter Gabriel and Robyn.
