This FAQ references the Music Scanner page.
The Music Scanner is a lightweight Adobe AIR application that quickly imports your music collection (from iTunes or Windows Media Player, for example) into your watchlist.
How does it work?
The Gigulate Music Scanner simply scans your MP3 and AAC (unprotected) files for the artist meta-data and matches it up with Gigulate's database. Once it's scanned your music, it then imports all the artists you have music for into your watchlist. You can edit it later.
How long does it take to run?
On a modern computer with an average sized music collection, it shouldn't take more than about 5 minutes to scan and sync to your Gigulate watchlist.
Does the application run in the background?
Absolutely not. The app will only run when you tell it to. It's a one-off scan and sync application that you run whenever you want to re-sync your watchlist.
