'American Idol' returns with as many as 13 North Texas hopefuls ready to sing

Ron Bultongez of Plano and Harper Grace of McKinney will be featured on the premiere of the reality TV singing competition on ABC at 7 p.m. They will audition in front of an all-star judging panel that includes Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Ryan Seacrest will return as host of the series that began on Fox in 2002 and said "Good Night, America ... for now" in 2016.
