Making the most of a snare drum and a twangy electric guitar, The Dodos tried to make an “unlistenable” album. Sadly, they failed. Not only is their first single, “Black Night,” off their upcoming album, No Color, completely listenable, it is also gorgeously simplistic and emotive.
