There is a hint of Charlie Chaplin in Alejandro Cerrudo, the Spanish-bred Hubbard Street Dance Chicago ensemble member who has begun to amass a remarkable body of work as a choreographer. There also is a little bit of Salvador Dali about him (besides the flashy mustache he now sports), though Cerrudo tends to bring more whimsy than weirdness to his gently surreal visions.
