20th Century set signals end to DSO's season

There is a celebratory feel to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra's final classical concerts of the season, with early 20th-Century sonic spectaculars by Maurice Ravel and Ottorino Respighi shooting off fireworks and substantial contemporary pieces by Cindy McTee and John Williams trumpeting music director Leonard Slatkin's allegiance to new American music.
