63 eggs laid at the Barbican

The Barbican's famous guitar-playing zebra finches are, it has been revealed, laying copiously. A project by French artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot has seen the gallery turned into a giant aviary, filled with guitars and other instruments that are "played" by the birds as they hop about; videos of the birds' musical antics have proved a surprise hit on YouTube.
