A Brit's Tribute To The Emotion Of Soul [Videodrone]

Upon hearing about Levi Stubbs' passing, I couldn't help but think of Billy Bragg's story of a jackass husband and his suffering wife "Levi Stubbs' Tears" and its recollection of the comfort of classic soul tracks in the midst of difficult times. I'm not sure if Levi was a fan of Billy's, but the Bragg track is the best reminder of the evocative nature of Stubbs' singing outside of the Four Tops' catalog itself. [YouTube]
