Album review: Old Crow Medicine Show's 'Carry Me Back' has new energy
Much has changed for this tradition-minded Nashville string band since it released its last album, “Tennessee Pusher,” in 2008. Earlier this year, singer-guitarist Willie Watson left the band, opening the door for a reunion with founding member Critter Fuqua, who’d taken a lengthy break. Now, the group’s new record (its fourth studio full-length) brings an alignment with a different label, ATO, and a fresh producer, Ted Hutt.
