Arctic Monkeys @ Hollywood Palladium, Los Angeles 9/15/09

Alex Taylor's hair has been gracing some large and brightly lit stages this summer in support of their darker turn on Humbug -- including their coming out party as a legitimate US festival band with one of Lollapalooza's standout sets -- so it's nice to see what they can do in a smaller auditorium these days. What they couldn't do is cajole their new album's producer to guest with them onstage in his hometown, but apparently Homme-boy and honorary fourth Them Crooked Vulture Alain Johannes ...
