Avi Buffalo: "What's in It For?"

Photo by Edie McConnell Avi Buffalo is the stage name of Avigdor Zahner-Isenberg of Long Beach, Calif., an 18-year-old guitarist and songwriter whose band has just signed to Sub Pop. They'll be putting out their debut 7" on the Seattle label in December. Here's the A-side, "What's in It For?", a loose, jangly, twangy number with a sharp chorus hook that gently recalls labelmates like the Shins and Band of Horses.
