Baths: "Maximalist"

Baths, the California-based project of a fellow named Will Wiesenfeld, has something in common with hazy sounds coming from the opposite coast-- think Washed Out, Toro y Moi, and Memory Tapes, but with a more insistent pulse. On "Maximalist", Baths mixes up warped, pitch-shifted samples, warm synths, and layers of distortion that come together to form a surprisingly bouncy groove.
