Being There: Glass Candy's balloon rave at Webster Hall on January 14

As part of the Italians Do It Better tour and helmed by the wondrous Justine D, last night's Girls & Boys party at Webster Hall was formatted as a show rather than just a club night, with performances from Desire, Chromatics and Glass Candy, and DJ sets in between Mike Simonetti. All three bands share a Portland home of sorts (production wizard and multi-instrumentalist Johnny Jewel is in all three acts) and Desire also has members from Montreal.
