The notorious Atlanta jangle-punk band Black Lips had to make a hasty exit from a recent tour of India after some culturally frowned-upon onstage nudity at a concert. One probably shouldn't expect quite that caliber of antic at this El Rey set, but the band's take on acid-fried vintage garage pop has only grown more refined and intriguing with age, if not maturity. El Rey Theatre, 5515 Wilshire Blvd., L.A. 8 p.m. Fri. $20. (323) 936-6400.
