CD and show look back to Jobim's bossa nova legacy
The idea for the album 'Novas Bossas' grew out of a Rio de Janeiro concert last year celebrating what would have been Antonio Carlos Jobim's 80th birthday. The project united veteran vocalist Milton Nascimento, who had worked extensively with Jobim, and the Jobim Trio '” featuring Antonio's son Paulo on guitar and grandson Daniel on piano, along with Paulo Braga on drums. Nascimento and the trio bring their fresh versions of Jobim classics to Berkeley's Zellerbach Hall Nov. 1.
