The Daily Mail's new corrections and clarifications column got off to a rocky start last week. Two of the items in Tuesday's column were of particular interest. One was an apology for a story published on 19 July – "in common with other newspapers" – that falsely claimed the NHS was paying £32.27 for each loaf of gluten-free bread.
