Catching up with J-Hud: her life, the tragedy, the new tour

Jennifer Hudson lost several family members in a grisly tragedy last fall, and if she didn’t have her music she says she might have been lost herself. “Music is my home,” she says in a new interview. This week, Hudson is out on her first solo tour, a 27-show schedule coheadlining with singer Robin Thicke. The tour stops two nights in Chicago, April 25-26 at the Arie Crown Theatre in the Loop.
