Chesney, Rock are top local draws

An array of familiar figures led metro Detroit's concert business in 2009. Summer stadium shows by country star Kenny Chesney and hometown hero Kid Rock each grossed more than $3.5 million to top the area charts, according to data released Monday by Pollstar magazine. They were among four metro Detroit concerts to rank in Pollstar's top 200 grosses of the year.
