Chris Botti looks ahead to 2010

Smooth-jazz trumpeter/composer Chris Botti [ tickets ] has lined up dates well into next year, including an upcoming session this month with the Boston Pops Orchestra. Botti's schedule, which kicks off Aug. 7 in Lenox, MA, backed by the Pops, stretches into May of 2010, including a long residency later this year at New York's Blue Note jazz club that runs Dec. 14 through Jan. 3, and will feature two performances each night.
