Christmas TV Specials: Love Them or Leave Them?

In addition to the dozens of films and repeats that are shown over the festive period, there are also a handful of "Christmas specials". The BBC schedule has particulary rich pickings this year, with a Gavin and Stacey special on Christmas Eve, Doctor Who special on Christmas Day, and Shooting Stars special on the 30th.
