Cold War musical quaint now

Hedy Weiss: It was a full decade before the monumental changes of 1989 that resulted in the collapse of the Soviet Union that British lyricist Tim Rice (of "Evita" fame) and composers Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus (of ABBA renown) began work on "Chess," their "Cold War rock musical." But time can play funny tricks on historically based musicals.
