Glasgow-based art scruff Dam Mantle won our hearts last year with the computer gargles of Yoghourt and Rebong. In 2011, his releases he first LP. Like those early tracks First Wave indulges Tom Marshall’s fascination with Dilla-style micro samples, love of pots, pans and broken radios (changed to make strange sounds) and more than demonstrates his respect for artists ranging from Black Dice’s Eric Copeland to anything on Sublime Frequencies.
