David Archuleta Announces Plans To Serve On A LDS Mission
American Idol alum, David Archuleta, announced to a hometown crowd tonight in Salt Lake City that he's decided to go on a full-time LDS mission. The crowd cheered as David cried.
A Mormon mission is typically a two year commitment. That would mean David would disappear from show business for awhile while he serves.
David is wrapping up his "My Kind of Christmas Tour". The last date will be December 21st in Beaver Creek, CO.
