Death Cab for Cutie Working on New Album

Chris Walla recently told Spin that Death Cab for Cutie are "working in fits and starts" on the follow-up to 2008's Narrow Stairs. He reported the band is "trying on all the outfits with the songs," including stripping songs down to two acoustic guitars or sequencers. Ben Gibbard previously suggested the album might be out in early 2011, but Walla doesn't seem to be in any hurry. [spin.com]
