DownBeat magazine celebrating 75 years on jazz stage
Downbeat through the years
DownBeat -- which calls itself the world's oldest jazz magazine -- turns 75 this year. And the big anniversary has stirred memories at DownBeat's main office in Elmhurst, a place where photos of jazz greats line the walls, where mail crates overflow with constantly arriving CDs and where a phone call could be anyone from Tony Bennett to Diana Krall.
