Elbow to play Wembley stadium

Elbow have announced they will play Wembley stadium next year as part of a nationwide tour. The band, who recently won the Mercury Music Prize for their album The Seldom Seen Kid, will kick off their 2009 tour in February at the Brighton Dome and finish at Wembley. The Mancunian quintet recently played three sold-out nights at the Roundhouse in London and their forthcoming tour will take them to other iconic UK venues, including Blackpool's Empress Ballroom.
