The last time we heard from Emily Yacina, she was looking backward, putting out a compilation album of stray tracks that she’s recorded over the years. But today, Yacina — who has gone from Philly to NYC and is now based in Long Beach — has a new single out, “Nothing Lasts,” one-half of a 7″ that’s due out early next year. It’s being released by Matsor, Rostam Batmanglij’s label, and he co-produced both tracks. “Nothing Lasts” also features drums by Danielle Haim.
