Former Billy Joel drummer sues for royalties

Liberty DeVitto, longtime drummer for Billy Joel, is suing the performer and Sony Music for what could be hundreds of thousands of dollars in overdue royalties, according to the New York Post. DeVitto, who was Joel's drummer from 1975 to 2005, claims he was abruptly fired from the band without severance, insurance or the courtesy of a phone call.
