Gary Clark, Jr. was on fire Monday afternoon, jammin’ the blues out of his guitar like the devil was chasing him down to sign a contract. His strumming would alternate between lightning fast and sultry slow, and each style made for some badass guitar work. Vocals-wise, Clark was all over the place – at times howlin’ as a good bluesman should, he’d occasionally shift into a Stevie Wonder voice, and then suddenly would start to sound remarkably like a teenaged male singer of the ‘50s. ...
