The pairing of Kano and Ghostpoet isn’t one that looks like it should immediately click on paper. One comes from the hard and at ‘em school of brittle, grimy social commentary; the other reigns over sloping, laidback rhythms, commanding with a shuffle and a wry smile. On this tweaked version of the latter’s ‘Cash And Carry Me Home’ though, the two are more than a little bit compatible.
