Hip-hop artists rap to CPS beat

New school and old school converged in the music of hip-hop artists Common and Biz Markie Monday night on behalf of Chicago Public Schools students. Backed by Microsoft, which donated $15,000 to help restore CPS music education programs, the artists headlined a star-filled benefit at the downtown Hard Rock Cafe.
