-- Regina Spektor : On her latest album, "Far" (Sire), the Russian-born pianist works with top-flight producers (Mike Elizondo, Jacknife Lee, David Kahne, Jeff Lynne) to sculpt her eccentricities into catchy pop songs. The weirdness often wins out at the expense of substance, especially when she's imitating a dolphin or meditating on her eyelashes, but the hooks flow in abundance.
