Iced Earth Guitarist Sentenced To Three Years Probation For Role In Jan. 6 Insurrection

Jon Schaffer of the Florida metal band Iced Earth has been sentenced to three years of probation for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol. Schaffer, who is also a lifetime member of the far-right anti-government militia Oath Keepers, pleaded guilty to two felony counts of obstruction of an official proceeding and entering and remaining in a restricted building with a dangerous weapon in April 2021.
