Julien H Mulder "Dold Maskin"

Swedish producer Julien H Mulder's latest release, the Enkel Strukur EP, excels at creating messy techno soundscapes which bring to mind the work of Detroit icon Jeff Mills. The release is said to have been recorded using only analog equipment, a fact evident in EP track "Dold Maskin"'s raw, off-the-cuff sound. The eight-minute tune barely lets up with its oscillating bassline and tumbling snares, and makes for an industrial, apocalyptic atmosphere. read more
