Kid Rock plans daylong party for Aug. 12 show at Comerica Park

Kid Rock's Aug. 12 concert at Comerica Park will be a daylong celebration of Detroit, the hometown star said Thursday while announcing the date. Rock revealed show details during a media event at the Belle Isle beach, after paddle surfing across the Detroit River with hockey pals Nick Lidstrom and Chris Chelios -- introduced by Rock as "my new security detail."
