L.A. Reid Named Chairman of Epic Records

It's finally official, record executive and X Factor US judge, L.A. Reid, has been named chairman of Epic Records. It was announced today by Sony Music Entertainment CEO, Doug Morris. The Epic Label Group, which L.A. will oversee, will also include Jive Records. It remains to be seen what the restructuring will mean for Jordin Sparks, Kris Allen and Crystal Bowersox--three Idols who remain on the label
