LOCAL SCENES: MOVIE NEWS AND NOTES: Skiing film puts the whoosh in winter

I saw my first Warren Miller movie while a card-carrying member of the high school Ski Hi Club in the 1970s. As a film geek only recently graduated from the bunny hill, I appreciated the way the movie mounted the camera in a helicopter or even on skis to approximate the rush felt by too-cool dudes conquering slopes way taller than Mt. Holly and Pine Knob.
