Lynyrd Skynyrd's Ean Evans dies at 48

Lynyrd Skynyrd bassist Donald "Ean" Evans died Wednesday (5/6) at his home in eastern Mississippi after battling an aggressive form of cancer, according to a statement posted on the band's website. He was 48. Evans, a native of Atlanta, was asked to join the Southern rock band in 2001 after the death of Leon Wilkeson, according to Evans' bio.
